The folks at natural beauty brand, Collective Wellbeing, generously provided me with 3 products for the purposes of this Tried and True Green Products Review…Although Collective Wellbeing launched in 2004, this beauty brand didn’t hit my radar til just the other day.  And what a pleasant surprise…I’ve used these products for the past several nights and they’re simply amazing:

  • Honey Buff Gentle Exfoliator for Face
  • Night Balm for Very Dry Skin Shea Butter/Lavender
  • Category 5 Maximum Strength Eye Cream.

To kick off my evening skin care routine, I cleansed my face with Honey Buff gentle exfoliator – which smells wonderful and instantly made my face feel SO soft and smooth.  (Given that it’s an exfoliator, I’d use it only once or twice a week.)  Then I applied Night Balm for a delicious dose of moisturizing.  This luxurious cream hydrates to the max and smells divine…rich Shea butter penetrates effortlessly while a hit of lavender relaxes my mind.  The final touch was Category 5 eye cream – which feels as dreamy as cashmere.  Purported to reduce “the appearance of five tell-tale signs of aging:  fine lines, puffiness, dark circles, loss of firmness and dryness.”  If I had to pick my absolute favorite product of the 3, this would be it.  I hope it’s not wishful thinking, but it seems to have already reduced the appearance of those fine lines and dark circles.  By the way, you’ll notice immediately that you only need apply a small amount of each product – perhaps because of the powerful nature of each product’s formulation:)

awelcol2.jpgIn researching the company, I was happy to see that they maintain high standards regarding their product formulations as well as ethical business practices.  I also noticed that Collective Wellbeing offers products for our bods from head to toe, both inside and out…those sexual wellness products sound intriguing!  Socially responsible, it’s also good to see that they’re members of 1% for the Planet and Carbon Neutral Exchange.  I was pleased to see that the company received good ratings from Environmental Working Group on the13  products that they’ve already tested.  I understand EWG will be rating the entire line in the not too distant future.

If you’re looking for a skincare line with good eco credibility and powerful products, I’d put Collective Wellbeing at the top of the Must-Try List.  Heck, forget the list – Just Try – and let us know what you think.
