Award-winning Austalian architectural firm Andrew Maynard Architects was asked to design this portable pod-shelter to be used by the Volunteer Garden Ambassadors within the Royal Botanical Gardens, Melbourne.

The Bot Pod is constructed from framework of a recycled timber crate and features: a roof garden, wheels, recycled hardwood siding and 3 linked activity areas. It is designed to be towed throughout the gardens and quickly unfolded for volunteer and instructional use.

The project is designed: to enhance the onsite experience for visitors to the RBG Melbourne, showcase the Royal Botanic Gardens landscape, promote appreciation of good garden design, increase visitor understanding of challenges and opportunities for gardening in a dry climate and inspire positive action.

Tsunami Glassworks makes these art glass wall panels – they call them green wall panels – from reclaimed window glass, recycled glass shards and recycled wine bottles. Quite spectacular. These decorative panels can be arranged in variety of different configurations.
