I recently received two free products from Lily Organics Skin Care: Seven Facial Rejuvenating Oils Treatment and Rejuvenating Enzyme Mask, for the purposes of this review. After two weeks of steady use, here’s the scoop:

lily_4.jpgThese products look, feel and smell good…they’re gentle and safe …and they really do the trick.

Lily’s Rejuvenating Oils Treatment is comprised solely of 7 organic (and vegan) oils: sweet almond oil, kukui oil, avocado oil, vitamin E oil, primrose oil, essential oil of lavender and rosehip seed oil.

Positioned as a wrinkle treatment for dry skin, it’s purported to “re-knit collagen and reduce wrinkles and appearance of fine lines.”

Needless to say, it’s extremely oily but with skin as dry as mine, my skin drinks it right up. To borrow a tagline, a little dab will do ya, so I’m sure the 2 ounce bottle will go a long way.

At night, I’ve been using the Enzyme Mask on my face.

lily5.jpgIt’s rich in honey so it’s quite “sticky” when applied. I leave it on for 10 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. Skin glows and feels super smooth, I love it. The honey draws needed moisture to skin. Lily also mixes in pineapple, certified organic comfrey, lily, horsetail, mint, as well as Vitamins E & C and citrus seed extract. Formulated “to remove the buildup of dead skin cells, stimulate new cell growth, balance combination skin and regenerate damaged skin.” I must say, my skin now looks rejuvenated and fresh.

Backstory – Lily Organics is real — from Lily Morgan (yes, there really is a Lily) to her family’s 7th generation farm in Henderson, Colorado. Lily was raised on the farm, developed a keen interest in botanicals at a tender young age and in a rather short span of time, created a flourishing seed to shelf, handcrafted organic skincare business. Launched in 1986 and now including a line of 20 products, as the company states, using “no synthetic chemicals – EVER.” The array of cleansers, toners, moisturizes and special treatments are freshly produced every week in the company’s USDA Certified Organic lab. Lily is also the author of Beauty, Health, and Happiness – A Way of Life.

Lily, a gal who’s not afraid to get her hands dirty, gets our big green thumbs up. We’d recommend Lily Organics to anyone looking for fresh, wholesome skincare: it’s effective, safe and reasonably priced. You can find it in Whole Foods markets or online @ lilyorganics.com.
