Tip #10 Save some dough and natural resources: Do we have to use our hair blowers and automatic clothes driers every day? Let mother nature – sun and wind remove moisture from freshly washed clothes and hair. You’ll lighten your carbon footprint and lower your electric bill by not turning on appliances, both large and small. Clothes and hair will smell springtime fresh.
There are many ways to air dry inside: place clothes on hangers and hang on hooks and poles (shower curtain or curtain rods). I hang smalls on collapsible air dryers and place near a window for maximum sun exposure. After 10pm, I turn on the auto dyer to fully dry towels and fluff up sheets for anywhere from 5-15 minutes. According to my power provider, it’s the most cost-effective time of day for our household to use electricity. Sure, air drying clothes requires some additional steps and changes in habits. I’ve been following this routine for several years now and still derive a psychic charge from it:)

Great tip. I was at an earth day event that had a rack found at bestdryingrack.com clothes drying racks for sale. I got one and I love it. The best thing about it is that it is for full size laundry and not just the smalls. I can now hang a full load of jeans or towels. Making air drying even easier.
