Using reclaimed lumber to create new furniture is a great way to reduce both construction waste and the destruction of forests.  A prime example: designer and furniture maker Eric Slayton creates his one-of-a-kind minimalist furniture primarily from reclaimed industrial materials like the timber in the benches pictured above (cypress), and below (poplar and heart pine).
