The geometrically-shaped JustK House is the creation of the German architectural firm, AMUNT (architects: Martenson, Nagel +Theissen).

The interior of the 4-story home is clad almost entirely in wood, both to utilize a renewable material and to take advantage of wood’s energy balancing qualities. To save money in construction the builders utilized a “refined shell construction” in the multi-level, zone design.

Features: On the entrance level, part of the floor slab has been elevated to create space for an infiltration ditch and 75m ground-air heat exchanger, while the home’s rooftop features power generating solar panels. South-facing window surfaces are glazed for maximum solar gain. The home has been designed to integrate into its surroundings – maximize its energy efficiency, and providing an enhanced living environment.

What a unique and clean design. Really lovely. The ubiquitous off white makes for the perfect canvas for the homeowner to go in any decorating direction.
