When we think renewable materials we usually roundup the usual suspects: bamboo, hemp and all manner of grasses and sustainable whatnot. Designers Alexander Groves and Azusa Murakami and their provocatively named, STUDIO SWINE, have discovered a new sustainable raw material – human hair – which they’re now using to make hair glasses.

The designers have created a process that combines human hair and an eco-friendly bioresin binding agent to create fashion-forward, biodegradable eyeglass frames. Very nice.
