It is estimated that each year college students across the nation print out approximately 4 billion pieces of paper on campus. That doesn’t even take into consideration the amount that is printed off campus, or by other companies and businesses across the world. This means that college students in the United States are responsible for the clearing of about 530,000 trees every year.

Print A Forest is a free computer application that focuses on offsetting this impact. This very basic application keeps track of how many pages you print, and for every 100 pages, they plant a tree.  It’s as simple as that. The trees are planted in the very diverse, and very deforested Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil.

The only mark Print A Forest leaves is a small brand logo at the bottom of every page printed. This is how they generate revenue. They give a small portion of that revenue to the Plant A Billion Trees campaign. Downloading the application is all you have to do to contribute to a great reforestation campaign.
