Forget the toxic plastic and rubber masks that dominate the mask marketplace – go authentic…and sustainable this Halloween. Kalon Studios, usually known for its sustainable designer furniture, is offering a limited supply of these hand-sheared, hand-dyed and handmade beauties.

These artisan-made masks are the handiwork of New Yorker Amelia McIssac and are available in five whimsical styles: Coyote, Owl, Fox, Chicken and Bear.

Using traditional techniques passed down through generations, the masks have been handmade from wool gathered from Ameila’s own sheep and plant-dyed from her own garden.

Individual pieces may look slightly different than pictured. The use of natural materials and artisan techniques ensures each piece has its own character and variations in hues and details.
