The basic building material of these limited edition cork chairs comes from an interesting source – upcycled cork discs recovered from the interior of aluminum baseball bats.
The recycled cork waste, which is sourced from a local Portland sporting goods manufacturer, is threaded onto aluminum rods and woven into a surface using laser-cut steel sides to shape the chair profile.
The chairs go for $675 @ Quartertwenty’s Etsy Shop

That chair looks REALLY comfortable. The number of products they can make with recycled materials are really amazing. It’s a good thing people with imagination focus their attention on green projects such as these.
