Move over Black Friday – I’ve had several people ask for suggestions on where to shop for green/sustainable/organic gifts for the holidays, so I’ve rounded-up a quick list of ways to keep gift giving easy and meaningful.
Some of the most enjoyable outings are local street fairs and farmer’s markets for one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts – there’s no shipping involved, so that’s a nice perk, too. Whatever you do, don’t amass a pile of useless stuff – if you’re going to make an investment, buy quality merch. For the digitally inclined gift givers, here goes:

Thanks for the excellent suggestions!
Several people on my list are getting t-shirts from my favorite animal sanctuary, and homemade caramels from my favorite etsy shop. :)

Thanks for posting the links..great sites! As a small business owner (DibbleDabble1Dolls) and a woman…I find sites that often say they are of interest but really aren’t. One of the most asked questions I receive is “Are your creations green?”…Well I use as vintage fabrics and trims that I find at estate sales in my creations. Most of the materials are treasures that need to be saved from the trash and landfills…to have survived generations they are due respect and I feel my use of them does that very well! I also hand sew my One Of A Kind Cloth Sculptures but do use a sewing machine for the Petite Couture.
May this Holiday Season bring good health, happiness and peace to all!
