Craftsman furniture-maker James Breaux creates many of his handmade pieces from found and salvaged materials. His ‘Suspension’ coffee table (above) expresses both retro and contemporary themes.

The table features four hand-carved wedges of African mahogany and a set of upcycled leaf springs from a 1960′s-era muscle car, now used to support a breadboard-ended black cherry top. Wooden slats made of sipo form across-braces and a storage shelf.
