Utilizing a combination of repurposed Corian samples obtained from kitchen designers and fabricators plus sustainably sourced birch, Oxfordshire based designer Jay Watson recently created these unique geometrically patterned pieces of furniture. Sleek and practical, the credenza features 3 drawers in the middle, cupboards on either side, and concealed touch latches.

Most commonly used to make solid surface worktops, Corian’s non-porous quality makes it an ideal material for crafting this unusual pixelated furniture and its highly durable nature means that any scratches can be wiped off using a household cleaner, making it easy to care for.

Before Watson rescued them, these outdated Corian sample chips would have otherwise ended up in the bin … another great example of how designers and companies are collaborating to keep perfectly usable reclaimed materials out of the waste-stream.
