Today’s Kickstarter Eco Find is a little company — and product — called Huckstraps. HuckStraps are a sustainable, vegan, and contemporary alternative to the ubiquitous leather belt. The term ‘Huck’ is a term used in extreme sports to refer to a large jump, often undertaken without knowledge or regard for the risk or consequences.
These belts are made from 100% recycled thermoplastic materials and come in a variety of styles and colors. Each strap is cut to a standard 145cm, which makes for a one size fits all approach. All you have to do is measure, cut, clamp the HUCK and you’ve got a custom-fit eco-friendly belt.
The Hucksters initial lineup features 144 combinations of styles and colors. You can get involved via the Huckstraps Kickstarter page. Pledges of $15 or more will get you a free belt – the more cash you pledge, the more belts and choices you’ll have.
