SMITH FARMS creates skincare products that are always free of harmful chemicals and synthetics such as parabens, petroleum, SLS and pthalates. The company is the eco-friendly baby of sisters Rebecca and Julia Sinclair-Smith — the sisters  strive to source and select only the purest naturally-derived plant oils, butters and extracts, always looking for quality and avoiding anything synthetic. You’ll find 2 sisters and a bro at the helm of this sustainably-minded company based in Quebec, Canada.

My review:

  • I absolutely adore their Lavender Goat’s Milk Soap (which sounds so chic in French: Savon au lait de chevre). A healthy dose of organic goat’s milk with a mix of organic olive, coconut and palm oils as well as shea butter and lavender oil – I love reaching for this bar in the shower, it leaves skin feeling clean and oh so moisturized. 88% organic, with no yucky ingredients. Naturally, it provides natural emollients, proteins, vitamins, minerals and the caprilic acides that goat’s milk is so famous for. ($9.99)
  • Their Honeysuckle Hair & Body Oil smells delicious (better than perfume) and is 98% organic. Lightweight and fast-absorbing, I use this oil  all over my bod. It’s a heady mix of jojoba, sweet almond and sunflower oils that helps keep skin well nourished. The bottle dispenses the product very judiciously so this little treasure of a product will last a long time. You can also condition hair before shampooing, which I’ll have to try soon. ($19.99)
