Trendsetting sustainable urban and outdoor performance wear maker, nau, has just released their designer picks for fall – including the sleek synfill cloak (above + below).
Fashioned from the silkiest, featherweight, recycled poly with Cocona® insulation, this minimalist cold-weather piece is both eco-chic and functional. The empire waist, over-sized hood and dolman sleeves take a style cue from the feminine ‘fifties. $230 @ nau.com
Socially conscious apparel and accessories company, Raven + Lily, has a new head designer, Courtney Rafter, who left Free People to join this fashion brand dedicated to empowering women. Hand-printed in Cambodia, these eco-friendly shirts are made with remnant, natural-dyed jersey cotton by HIV-positive and formerly trafficked women.
Raven + Lily’s handmade jewelry is created from recycled metals (charm bracelet above $76). In addition to providing sustainable economic opportunities, Raven + Lily returns proceeds to fund healthcare and literacy programs for the women and children in this community. The hand-printed tops pictured above retail for $42.
(above) For the truly adventurous, here’s a handmade, felted boho hoodie from Lunata Felt. This eco-friendly designer hoodie features hemp, silk and felted wool – all in one colorful, funky creation. This creature comfort is made in Russia.
(above) Exclusively featuring ethically and eco-minded design, NYC-based, multi-brand online shop, ethica.com dishes this upcycled leather jacket ($625) from The Sway, with just the right mix of edginess and classic style. Also loving the low-slung over the shoulder messenger bag ($198) in delicious chocolate.
And that wraps up another edition of my favorite eco fashion finds for today. Remember, love what you already have and pass along your pre-loveds for someone else to enjoy. Have a fabulous weekend.
