Diva of all matters domestic (yes, I saved my early years of Martha subscriptions - waaay back), Martha is offering a GreenPan collection via Macy’s. The nonstick technology, Thermalon, is ceramic-based rather than plastic-based, and purported to be a healthy alternative to traditional nonstick surfaces. When GreenPan first debuted on the cooking scene [...]

About 99.9% of the time, I would advise against trusting celebrity trends as environmentally friendly choices. But, it appears that a gaggle of celebutards got it right this time. Recently, Local Celebrity joined forces with the reputable Global Green USA and out popped a trendy, wearable yet environmentally friendly t-shirt.
The shirt proclaims “Respect your Mother” [...]

No, No, No…don’t have a hairdo that is taller than 47% of the people in Asia. Amy Winehouse has taken high hair to another level. Rumor has it that it takes a minimum of 4 cans of Extra Hold Hairspray to maintain the structural integrity of this hairdo - enough aerosol propellant [...]

Several years ago, a disturbing trend began in young Hollywood: the live, tiny dog as an accessory for the disgustingly rich, talent-challenged, media-starved vixens of our celebrity culture (Paris, Lindsey, Nicole Ritchie, etc.) The unsettling thing about this is that, although most of us recognize how ridiculous a little inbred Chihuahua looks peeking out of [...]

Who knew we could glean such power from natural, rolling stones? Gemstones and crystals can provide much-needed harmony, balance, clarity…all through light and energy. Hmmm, a part of the skeptic in me asks — truth or myth? I suppose as long as you are not causing harm to anyone, why not give [...]

You know these people. Like me, you may also fit the description in those weak moments when convenience trumps sustainability (please step away from that 12 oz Evian bottle). We must all try to do ‘bettah.’
They can be spotted with a ‘I’m Not a Plastic Bag’ dangling from their arm, swigging from [...]
